I should probably keep this a surprise.... but I can't help myself. These masks will be handed out at the door to my thesis show so that everyone who comes in to look at the work will look exactly like me (and see the work through my eyes). I think it's going to make for quite an interesting opening... I wonder what it will do to the social atmosphere? You won't be able to automatically recognize people when you walk into the gallery, so perhaps it will make people more inclined to actually look at the work. Or maybe it will do just the opposite, and people will just be looking at each other, trying to figure out who everyone is and laughing at the ridiculousness of it. It will be ridiculous for sure. I can't wait!
