I had never seen the famous Double Rainbow video until my friend Giselle sent me these two links. Maybe you have to be an art nerd to appreciate the Donald Judd parody, but then again maybe not. I literally laughed out loud.

Sacred and Profane

These are some pictures I took at an event called Sacred and Profane. It happens every October on Peaks Island... art installations and performances in an abandoned army bunker, followed by a feast under the full moon. Who knew this is what it'd be like to live in Maine?

By the way... Halloween is my favorite holiday

pictures from the opening of my MFA thesis exhibition

My thesis show was held in an old ballroom at the Elk's Lodge in Hornell, NY. Everyone was given an 'Alicia mask' at the door, which made for an interesting social atmosphere. It felt more like a party than a gallery opening, and I couldn't have been happier...

I've been avoiding anything remotely resembling a responsibility since my thesis show, including this blog, but I think I'm finally on my way back to feeling normal. I have been concerning myself with everything summer... traveling, laying in the grass, reading, repotting my plants, going for long walks, playing the ukulele, drawing in my sketchbook... Alfred feels completely deserted and totally magical.

I will post pictures of my show very soon. It was a huge success... I am now a master!
